Imaginaerum Nominated for Album of the Year at the 2012 Progressive Music Awards

Nightwish's latest album Imaginaerum has been nominated for Album of the Year at the new Progressive Music Awards, run by PROG magazine. They face competition from Anathema, It Bites, Opeth, Rush, Storm Corrosion and Yes.

The voting page features the following highly favourable review of the album:
"The undisputed kings (and queen) of symphonic metal, Finland’s most successful metal band of all time confirmed their prog credentials once and for all with this masterly flight of fancy. Epic, ornate and mischievous, Imaginaerum pushed Nightwish’s trademark sounds to new limits and their huge fan base squealed their approval."
