In an official announcement on their website and Facebook page, Epica have (finally!) revealed that Simone is expecting her first child with partner Oliver Palotai (Kamelot, Sons of Seasons). As a result of this the band are putting live shows on hold from July onwards. However, they have confirmed that a DVD of the band's anniversary show Retrospect will be on sale in the autumn, and that the band will spend the rest of the year working on a new album for 2014.
