A new documentary film about women in metal has been announced today. Titled Soaring Highs And Brutal Lows: The Voices Of Women In Metal, the film is the project of director Mark Harwood and Rising Moon Productions. It features interviews with many female vocalists from the genre about their experiences - in the teaser video (see below) you can hear the voices of Marcela Bovio, Simone Simons, Anneke Van Giersbergen, Charlotte Wessels, Doro Pesch, Kobra Paige and Floor Jansen. It also includes live and archive footage.
It is not yet known how the movie will be released, but you can follow the creators on social media or sign up for their newsletter to stay updated.
