The Birdcage is a unique project that aims to create a symphonic metal album that is also a playable video game. After unfortunately missing out on their target on Indiegogo, the team are back on the Patreon site - which allows fans to pledge a small amount of money each month to creators.
The project features musicians from a whole host of genre bands, including Within Temptation, Kamelot, Epica, Xandria, Therion and Symphony X.
Another symphonic metal game, Karmaflow, was successful in its funding and is set to be released on the 16th of January. The Karmaflow team are also putting on live productions of their rock opera.
