Anneke Van Giersbergen is well-known in the metal world for many different projects. Originally in pioneering band The Gathering, Anneke went on to form a solo project called Agua De Annique before eventually performing under her own name. She has frequently collaborated with the likes of Within Temptation, Devin Townsend and Ayreon, and recently performed as part of supergroup The Sirens with Liv Kristine and Kari Rueslåtten. In 2014 she formed symphonic metal project The Gentle Storm with Arjen Anthony Lucassen.
This year, Anneke is back for a solo acoustic tour titled An Evening With Anneke Van Giersbergen. She will be supported in the UK by rock group VerseChorusVerse.
