Apocalyptica Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of Debut Album

Apocalyptica are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album Apocalyptica Plays Metallica By Four Cellos. The covers album launched the band, as well as being a significant moment in the history of symphonic metal.

To mark the occasion, they have returned to the studio and fully remastered the album. It will include several bonus tracks - the band’s all-time favourite Battery, live fan favourite and never before recorded Seek and Destroy and a brand-new version of Nothing Else Matters.

The fully remastered anniversary album will be out July 22 and will be available on CD and double vinyl as well as for download and via streaming. Pre-orders are on sale now.

They will also be heading out on tour in support of the re-release, bringing back original member Antero Manninen on the fourth cello. The first set will feature only the original album with just the four cellos, while the second will include other Metallica covers and drums. The venues are seated and VIP tickets are available.
