JAKE E TO "TAKE A BREAK" FROM AMARANTHE

Amaranthe's lead male clean vocalist Jake E has announced that he is planning to sit out the band's upcoming EU and US tours.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Jake commented:

"It’s been seven long, extremely pleasant, instructive and exciting years. During this time we have reached an almost unimaginable success with the band. I now feel that the time is right to take a break from touring and pursuit things I wanted to do for a long time. For how long I'll be gone is hard to say at this point."

We hope Jake will enjoy his break and return to the band in future!

WINTERSUN'S JARI TO STICK TO VOCALS ON STAGE

Wintersun's leading man Jari Mäenpää announced today that he intends to only perform vocals on stage in future. Throughout the history of the band, he has performed both vocals and guitar at the same time, but has described this as a struggle for him both physically and mentally. He will continue to play guitar on the band's records, and says he hopes that he will be less limited now that he doesn't have to worry about how he will combine the two disciplines when songs are played live. Teemu Mäntysaari will now move to the solo guitarist role, while the band will recruit a second guitarist.

The full statement also mentioned that negotiations with label Nuclear Blast are going well, and that the band hope to be able to disclose more about what they've been working on soon.
