Epica To Re-Release The Score

Epica's classic soundtrack The Score is being re-released as an updated version titled The Score 2.0. The original came out in 2005, and was composed for the Dutch movie Joyride. Although largely orchestral without the band's usual guitars or drums, it did include some alternate versions of songs from Consign to Oblivion with Simone Simons on vocals.

The album was something of a rarity, with many fans not owning the original CD. Now it will be readily available again, but with some adjustments. The product description states:

"More than a decade later producer Miro Rodenberg has written additional arrangements, added keyboard parts, remixed and expanded the material. Like the original version, The Score 2.0 is a stunning soundtrack that stirs the imagination whilst succeeding in being an epic trip, even without any accompanying pictures. It's the nuances that make the difference on The Score 2.0."

The album will be released on November 24th via Transmission Records, and can be found on Amazon UK.
