The cat is out of the bag... As you may know, as well as this blog I also write and help out with design over at Muses of Metal. We're very pleased to announce that we are holding our first ever music festival in the UK, featuring a full day of female-fronted rock and metal bands.
The event will take place at Keele Student Union, Keele near Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday, May 7th.
Headlining the festival will be the amazing Draconian. The Swedish gothic doom metallers will be making their return to the UK! After parting ways with previous female vocalist Lisa Johansson in 2011, Draconian are back with a complete line up including the addition of South African vocalist Heike Langhans (also known for projects Ison and Lorelei). The band recently released their critically claimed album Sovran via Napalm Records, and have been making waves with their stunning new record and classic tracks on stages throughout Europe.
Alongside Draconian, the festival will host a line up including some international surprises and home-grown gems. A new act appearing at the festival will be announced every one to two weeks.
