Two new music videos from collaborations have been uploaded today, so it seemed only fitting to share them together on the blog.
The first is from The Gentle Storm, the new team-up of Anneke Van Giersbergen (solo, The Gathering, The Sirens) and Arjen Anthony Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One). This is the lead single from their album The Diary, released today, which describes the love story of a Dutch couple from the 17th century. The album has two sides: the "gentle" side of acoustic and soft versions of the songs, and the "storm" side with the symphonic metal versions.
The second is from Kiske/Somerville, the rock band featuring Michael Kiske (formerly of Helloween) and Amanda Somerville (Trillium, well-known symphonic metal vocal coach). Their album City of Heroes, a follow up to their 2009 self-titled debut, is out on April 17th 2015. This new single Walk On Water is taken from that record.
