WINTERSUN UNVEIL ALBUM TITLE AND TRACKLISTING

Wintersun have announced that their upcoming album will be titled The Forest Seasons. Despite the long-awaited Time II album having already been recorded, the band stated they were unable to mix and master it to their satisfaction without having their own studio. Instead they have worked on and fully completed this new album.

The Forest Seasons will consist of four songs, themed around the four seasons in a theme loosely based on Vivaldi's Four Seasons. A song that was previously played live and titled The Forest seems to have been retitled The Forest That Weeps.

The tracklisting is as follows:

1. Awaken From The Dark Slumber (Spring) 14:40
Part I The Dark Slumber
Part II The Awakening

2. The Forest That Weeps (Summer) 12:18

3. Eternal Darkness (Autumn) 14:08
Part I Haunting Darkness
Part II The Call of the Dark Dream
Part III Beyond the Infinite Universe
Part IV Death

4. Loneliness (Winter) 12:54

The album will be released later this year.

The artwork has been revealed for the upcoming Ayreon project. Titled The Source, it features a wide range of symphonic metal stars as guest vocalists, including Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Tommy Karevik and Russell Allen. The art was created by Yann Souetre, whose work inspired the writing of the album.
