EPICA UNVEILS SOLACE SYSTEM EP AND VIDEO

Epica have unveiled their latest release, an EP consisting of bonus tracks from The Holographic Principle recording sessions. Since the band's bonus tracks are usually high quality but difficult to get hold of without buying multiple editions, this is a welcome idea for most fans. The EP will be titled The Solace System and is due for release on 1st September 2017.

The tracklisting is as follows:

3. Architects Of Light
4. Wheel Of Destiny
5. Immortal Melancholy
6. Decoded Poetry

The EP will be available in CD and Vinyl formats and will be released via Nuclear Blast. Stay tuned to the blog for a guide to the different bundles and prices. The band have already begun pre-orders on their webshop, and you can listen now on Spotify and iTunes.

TARJA ANNOUNCES SURPRISE SINGLE


Tarja has surprised her fans with the release of a new song and digital single bundle. An Empty Dream is from the soundtrack of an Argentinian movie, which was recorded by Tarja after she reworked some of the lyrics. The release also includes some live tracks and the popular track Undertaker.

The tracklisting for the single is as follows:

TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN FORMS NEW SIDE PROJECT


Nuclear Blast have signed a new project from Nightwish main man Tuomas Holopainen. Auri consists of Tuomas alongside his wife - Finnish singer Johanna Kurkela - and Nightwish's multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley. All three previously collaborated on Tuomas's stunning The Life and Times of Scrooge album in 2014.

The group's music has been described as "ethereal" and "escapist", with a magical Alice In Wonderland inspired sound. You can read the full press release here.

They are working together with guest musicians and with sound engineer Tim Oliver at the Real World Studios in Box, UK. The album is due for release in 2018.

ARCH ENEMY ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM


Arch Enemy have a new album on the way, their second with new vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and first with new guitarist Jeff Loomis. 

The album is titled Will To Power and features cover art by Alex Reisfar.

Will To Power will be released on 8th September 2017 via Century Media Records.
