Lots of news the past couple of days! Let's take a look...


DELAIN ANNOUNCE NEW EP AND LAUNCH SHOWS


Delain have announced that they are working on a new EP to fill the gap before the next album. Although no further details have been given, we can expect the EP around October 2018. The band will be playing two special launch shows to celebrate the release. The dates are as follows:

Aside from the European festivals and South American tour with Nightwish, these will be the only club shows in 2018.


SIRENIA REVEAL NEXT ALBUM RELEASE DATE


Sirenia are currently crowdfunding for their second album with their new line-up. The band will begin recording once their tour is finished, and the record now has an official release date of October 26th 2018. You can view the crowdfunding page on Pledgemusic.


ROY KHAN REJOINS 90S BAND CONCEPTION

Roy Khan, best known for being the former lead singer of Kamelot, is finally making a return to music with his original band Conception. The Norwegian group had some success in the 90s before disbanding. They will be releasing a single in summer followed by an EP later this year, again crowdfunding on Pledgemusic.


SHARON DEN ADEL TO BE A JUDGE AT EUROVISION


According to reports, Within Temptation's Sharon Den Adel has been appointed chairman of the Dutch jury at the Eurovision Song Contest. Along with four other music industry professionals from the Netherlands, she will judge this year's entries. The judges' points count for half of the overall score, with the rest being down to audience votes.


ANGEL NATION ANNOUNCE UK TOUR


Angel Nation, the band fronted by Elina Siirala (new singer of Leaves' Eyes) will be touring the UK later this month. Support comes from Winter's Edge and others.

The dates are as follows:

Tuesday 22nd May - Asylum 2, Birmingham

Wednesday 23rd May - Met Lounge, Peterborough

Thursday 24th May - Black Mass, Wakefield

Friday 25th May - Factory, Manchester

Saturday 26th May - Iron Road, Evesham
