I'm back from my holiday so here's some of the top news highlights from the past couple of weeks...
EPICA: WORLD RELEASE FOR ATTACK ON TITAN EP
Many fans were excited at the prospect of Epica's EP covering songs from popular anime Attack On Titan, a show that had been praised for its epic music. Until now, the EP was unfortunately only released in Japan, although the songs could be heard on YouTube. Now the band's label Nuclear Blast have announced that the EP will be available worldwide from July 20th.

TARJA ANNOUNCES NEW LIVE DVD
Tarja is back with a new live DVD for us, a follow-up to Act I which came out in 2012. Act II was recorded at an intimate show in Metropolis Studio in London, UK, and a regular show at Teatro della Luna in Milan, Italy. Many songs from her latest album The Shadow Self are included as well as hits from throughout her career (including a couple of Nightwish classics).
Act II will be released on July 27th, 2018 on earMUSIC as 2CD digipak, 3LP Gatefold (180g, black), DVD, Blu-ray, Limited Mediabook 2CD+2BD (incl. two full live shows filmed at Woodstock Festival in Poland and Hellfest in France as bonus) and Digital formats. You can pre-order it here.

SERENITY TO GO ON UK TOUR
Austrian symphonic metallers Serenity are heading back to our shores in September, with support from Temperance and Alight. There are dates in France and Belgium either side. The UK dates are as follows:

EX LIBRIS CROWDFUNDING FOR NEW ALBUM
Ex Libris, the main band of ex-Xandria vocalist Dianne Van Giersbergen, have announced a crowdfunding project for their next album. The album will be released in three parts, with the first chapter "Anne Boleyn" being available as a reward for backers. Each part will tell the story of a different woman from history (presumably all named Ann).
The band need to raise €25,000. There are many perks available including CDs, signed merch, Skype sessions with the band and more.You can find the crowdfunding page here.
